Giants' Jameis Winston has sky-high hopes after hiring John Harbaugh with Jaxson Dart's emergence
Winston eyes Super Bowl with Giants' Harbaugh hire, Dart rise
New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston predicted a Super Bowl victory under new head coach John Harbaugh and quarterback Jaxson Dart. Winston praised Dart's fearless style and Harbaugh's leadership during a press conference. The Giants hired Harbaugh after firing Brian Daboll during the season.
The Giants have struggled since their Super Bowl XLVI victory, posting just two winning seasons above .500. After reaching the playoffs in 2022, they went 13-38 in the following three campaigns. Harbaugh, who spent 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, now leads the franchise.
Winston likened Dart to his younger self, calling him "tough, fearless" with an "electric" running and passing game. He expressed relief at Harbaugh's hiring, citing Giants history with coaches like Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin as models of old-school leadership. "I was so happy when we hired John Harbaugh," Winston said.
Winston set a high bar for the team, stating, "We can win the Super Bowl. We can be in LA playing for Super Bowl LXI. That’s the minimum." He emphasized daily preparation and dedication as keys to success.
